Interested in starting a new club on campus? Missing an old club that has become dormant?
The WGA reviews new club applications twice a year at the end of each semester. To begin the process of becoming an official WGA club, please see the instructions below.
Evaluation Criteria:
In our new club evaluation, we are looking for effort from the new club leaders, quality engagement from current students, and potential long-term impact on our community. The club must also represent a student interest that is not already satisfied by an existing WGA club. Please review the evaluation rubric here.
Application Materials:
Names and email addresses of board members. We recommend at least four board members, two of which should serve as Club President and VP of Finance. All board members must be current Wharton MBA students.
One-pager. Please submit a 1-page PowerPoint slide giving an overview of your club that could be used to pitch to potential members (i.e. at club pub).
Proposed annual budget. All clubs do financial projections each year.
Club charter that outlines club type, mission, overview, activities, size, need, and cooperation with other clubs.
Examples of past submissions can be found here. (Log in with your Wharton account to view)
Instructions for submission:
Fill out this form to submit a club proposal.
Pitch to the WGA board. Once your application has been reviewed, we will reach out to schedule a time for you to present a 10-min pitch outlining the club, leadership, potential events, and detailed budget followed by Q&A.
Final Review. Once all pitches have been reviewed, the WGA board will discuss final admission to be an official WGA club.
We are looking forward to reviewing your applications and hope to welcome some new clubs soon!
