Financial Transparency Initiative

A key component of our transparency initiative is improved disclosure of club finances. Clubs and conferences should ensure that they utilize the funds available to them to provide students with the full and fair benefit that is available in the current year. Overspending is not allowed, nor is underspending. Please ensure that your clubs do not carry excessive balances across school years, beyond what is needed to manage timing differences between inflows and outflows. The WGA bylaws do cap rollover balances, but each club is expected to decide what balance is truly necessary to carry over to the next year, if any.
